Huma Qureshi gears up for her upcoming release D-Day where she plays an agent called Zoya Rehman who is sent to Pakistan on a mission.
Huma won critical acclaim for her performances in films like Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2, Ek Thi Daayan and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.
Though her films may have not made it to the 100 crore mark, she's fast becoming a favourite with audiences.
Talking about her films and journey in Bollywood so far, the actor says, "All my films have been commercial successes. They might not be your 100 crore films, but then not every film is meant to be one. Not every film is meant to cater to that audience. It's like the difference between gourmet food and Mc Donald's if you know what I mean. I've always chosen films that have appealed to me, where I would buy a ticket and go and watch it".
Adding, "Even seeing D-Day's poster, I would go and watch the film whether I was in it or not. It's an interesting time in our film industry. Last year we had a good spate of films which have been commercial, made money and had something intriguing about them. They were films with a soul and concept, be it a Gangs of Wasseypur, Barfi!, Rowdy Rathore or a Kahaani. All these were commercial successes".
