Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi's new film 'Ghanchakkar' might not have good reviews from critics but the audience is still making its way to see the popular Jodi on screen once again. The film managed to earn Rs 22.3 crore at box office during the first weekend of its release.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "INDIA: #Ghanchakkar Fri Rs 7.2 cr, Sat Rs 7.3 cr, Sun 7.8 cr. Total: Rs 22.3 cr nett."
Though, the film got a lukewarm response on its opening day but rather than any decline at the ticket window, 'Ghanchakkar' maintained its pace by earning almost the same money on the second day of its release.
Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, Vidya Balan plays the role of a boisterous Punjabi housewife in 'Ghanchakkar'. The film also stars Rajesh Sharma and Namit Das.

Thanks to largely positive reviews (read ours here) and word-of-mouth publicity, Dhanush's 'Raanjhanaa' has had a stunning second week at the box office. Dhanush's Bollywood debut 'Raanjhana' continues to reaps gold at box-office. The film is nearing the Rs 50 crore mark. After the second weekend, 'Raanjhanna' has raked in 45.63 crore at the domestic box office.
