Apparently, Bhuvaneshwari had been running the prostitution racket from her residence in Adayar in Chennai. Her neighbours who suspected that she was involved in prostitution, reported her to the police.
Bhuvaneshwari had been arrested by Chennai police in the year 2002, but the police later released her.
Bhuvaneshwari however claims that she is not involved in prostitution and that she was arrested while she was with some of her friends.
